What do you photograph at a conference or seminar?
The speakers, the full room, the breaks and the conversations in between. That way you see not only who spoke, but also how the day felt. Beforehand we discuss which speakers and moments you definitely want captured.
If you have parallel sessions, we make a plan together, so the most important rooms and speakers are covered.

How do you work without guests posing?
I'm a fly on the wall, so to speak. Attendees often don't notice I'm taking photos, and you see that in natural event photos for your report, website and LinkedIn.
What do you mean by clean photos?
Photos without distracting details. At a recent event shoot I edited out dozens of emergency exit signs, because they were so prominent in the shots. I never deliver photos I'm not happy with myself.
Why hire an event photographer for your conference?
Good photos are your best advertising for the next edition. Anyone who wasn't there sees what they missed. As an organiser, that feeling of 'I wish I had been there' is exactly what you want to create.
What does an event photographer in Amsterdam cost?
I charge € 115 per hour excl. VAT. The price depends on the time at the event and the time for editing. Within the Randstad there are no travel costs; parking costs are for you.

Heel blij met het werk van Joanna! Voorafgaand aan de shoot neemt ze de tijd om je/je werk te leren kennen, zodat de shoot kan plaats vinden in een setting die het meest bij je past. Ze geeft je gelijk een zeer comfortabel gevoel en laat de shoot op hele relaxte wijze plaats vinden. Samen beweeg je langs verschillende plekken en geeft ze advies in hoe je het beste kunt staan. Vervolgens krijg je een reeks aan prachtige foto’s toegestuurd waar je zelf een selectie uit kunt maken, waarna ze de puntjes op i zet om ze zo mooi mogelijk te bewerken. Top resultaat!

What does a shoot cost?
Hourly rate

You pay for the shoot and for the editing. Your quote shows in advance how long the shoot takes and how many hours I estimate for the editing.

Including the start-up fee. A shoot usually takes no longer than an hour.

I mainly work for companies and freelancers. All prices are excl. VAT; private clients pay 21% VAT on top.

Do you also photograph at the Zuidas or the RAI?
Yes, I work on location throughout Amsterdam. From Amstelveen, the Zuidas and the RAI are close by.
Can I say beforehand what atmosphere I want?
Yes, we always discuss that beforehand. I keep it in mind during the event.
Do you also photograph sponsors and stands?
Yes, if you let me know beforehand. I then plan time for stands, sponsors and the exhibition floor.
Can you stay for a whole conference day?
Yes, from registration to the closing drinks. The length of your day determines the number of hours.
